Directed by Siddharth Anand, War is said to be high on adrenaline and will have the two stars pulling off some heavy-duty stunts.
'High-octane Bollywood action film lovers will be in for a treat this October when Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff-starrer War hits the large screens. Directed by Siddharth Anand, War is said to be high on adrenaline and will have the two stars pulling off some heavy-duty stunts. Speaking about the same, director Siddharth Anand reveals that a bike stunt scene they shot involving Hrithik and Tiger was very risky and could have lead to fatal injuries to the two stars. But the equation between Hrithik and Tiger helped them pull off the stunt without any mishap. \'This was an incredibly high-risk scene as my actors could have got severely injured had any one single detail not worked out perfectly. It's a high-speed motorcycle chase scene that will see Hrithik riding a superbike and Tiger chasing him on foot. It needed Tiger to showcase his parkour prowess to time his jump perfectly so that he crashes into Hrithik and both of them break through glass window panes,\' said Siddharth in a recent statement. \'On top of that, we conceptualised this bit at a blind spot, a juncture where two lanes meet so both Hrithik and Tiger couldn't time their movement by looking at each other,\' adds Siddharth further. This particular bike stunt is also seen in the teaser released recently and fans were in awe with the way it was executed. Watch the teaser of War right here: Expected to be one of the most expensive projects of Yash Raj Films, War is shot in six countries and will feature some heavy-duty stunts, which will be a huge treat for the fans of both the stars. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor in a key role. War is directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously helmed Salaam Namaste and Bang Bang. War is all set to hit the screens on October 2 and will clash with Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh's Marjaavaan at the box office. Hyderabad: Bikes, trucks to power up EVDM

Motor Telangana Today

'Hyderabad:  Having played a major role in rushing to the aid during disaster management in the city, the Enforcement Vigilance and Disaster Management (EVDM) wing of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is all set to get more equipped in terms of infrastructure. The EVDM is now drawing plans to add six new two-wheelers apart from eight customised trucks to its existing fleet. The reinforcement, the officials said, would help them in taking up rescue and relief measures in a more effective manner when needed. The two-wheelers are being procured to assist the manpower in reaching a spot quickly and initiate the relief measures immediately. Many a times, especially due to traffic snarls during rains, the Disaster Response Force (DRF) personnel are unable to reach water-logged areas or tree collapse spots quickly in the vehicles currently being used by them. This has happened quite a few times, particularly during heavy rains in the IT corridors of Madhapur, Gachibowli and other places. “Like many others, our people too ended up stuck in traffic jams and could not reach the spot in time to fix the problem. To address these issues, we are planning to buy six high-powered engine bikes, which will be equipped with in-built navigation systems,” EVDM Director Viswajit Kampati said. This apart, during some incidents reported, reaching the spots in narrow lanes was also proving to be a task.Armed with potable pumps, chainsaws and other equipment, two persons can reach the spot immediately on the bikes and take up preliminary relief works, he said. The EVDM wing presently operates 14 vehicles, including six for its enforcement section and eight for the DRF section. These vehicles are currently stationed at different areas of the city and the nearest available vehicle is sent to mishap sites for taking up rescue and rehabilitation works. To strengthen the EVDM wing, the municipal corporation is planning to procure eight more customised trucks.Equipped with generator stands, the closed-container vehicles will be powered with 3000cc engines and will have various facilities including tool boxes, foldable seats, power cable extension box and others, officials added. . Road Transport & Highways Ministry decides to declare all toll Lanes as FASTag Lanes

Traffic Tehelka

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has decided to declare all lanes in all Toll Fee Plazas on National Highways across the country as dedicated ‘FASTag Lanes’ from 1st of December this year. According to the National Highways Fee
'The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has decided to declare all lanes in all Toll Fee Plazas on National Highways across the country as dedicated ‘FASTag Lanes’ from 1st of December this year. According to the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, a FASTag lane in a toll plaza is reserved exclusively for the movement of FASTag users. There is also a provision under the rule according to which non -FASTag users are to be charged double the fee if they pass through FASTag lanes. In a letter sent to NHAI on Friday, the Ministry has asked the Authority to ensure strict implementation of the above fee rules at every toll plaza on the National Highways. One hybrid lane will, however, be allowed at every toll plaza to facilitate and monitor over-dimensional or oversized vehicles, where FASTag and other modes of payment will be accepted. This lane will be converted into FASTag lane in a time-bound manner. The above decision has been taken in order to promote faster payment of fees through the digital mode so that vehicles can move through seamlessly and traffic jams at the toll plazas can be prevented. The RFID based FASTag is affixed on the windscreen of the vehicle. It allows for direct payment of fee from the prepaid or savings account linked to it and enables vehicles to drive through without stopping for transactions. However, it is found that currently even non-FASTag users are passing through FASTag lanes and making cash payments. This is leading to crowding of the FASTag lanes, and overall traffic congestion at the plaza, defeating the very purpose of the FASTags. As a result, electronic toll collection through FASTags has not grown as much as was desired. In order to ensure smooth implementation of this decision, the Ministry has asked NHAI to assess the overall requirement of FASTags across the country and make it available in requisite numbers. The required civil and electronic infrastructure at all toll plazas is also to be provided before implementation date of 1st December 2019. The Authority has also been asked to identify and resolve logistic and other problems likely to lead to any law and order problem in this venture.'
